KINGS OF THE ICE (1st Post)

The Los Angeles Kings have been seriously and surprisingly, amazing! They've been wrecking and climbing to the top of the ladder game by game. First post is always the hardest one to get through. Let's talk about how good these group of guys are and why this magically marvelous team is going to be cup contenders this season...That's right, in my humble opinion, the Kings are going to put up a fight. They'll probably take the cup home. ;) Let's get real.
The Kings are 20-10-3, the very first team to reach 20 wins the whole entire western conference. Who are these guys!? 14th place last season, 34 wins ALL last season and now in their 33 games their already just 14 wins shy of reaching their win mark in the 08-09 season. Now, you're probably thinking I'm crazy and that the Kings are not going to have a shot at winning the cup. I'm sure your mind is set on the Blackhawks or the Penguins or something. I hope you don't count the kings out, and why the hell not? they've made a full 360 turn around and are just points away from being the top team in the whole entire NHL!! Anze Kopitar is on pace for a career season, already with 15 goals and 36 points! And don't get me started on Drew Doughty, I can go on all night about the positive things that this kid brings to the club. 8 goals? He is tied for most goals scored by a defencemen this year, he's a plus 10, a major threat on the power-play, and makes GREAT defensive plays. oh, and he's 20 years old. I was playing NHL 10 gm mode with the leafs and traded luke schenn for this guy, im tellin ya, who doesn't want him!? GET HIM ON THE OLYMPIC TEAM! Jonothan Quick, the masked man in between the pipes is having a solid season. Solid D' infront of the Solid G' and Solid O' infront of the Solid D', Solid fans fill the staples centre. I'm a die-hard leafs fan, but Kings are taking it this year. am i right or what? Let's get real, they are the kings of the ice.
