Now everybody including myself cannot wait for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. Alot of people are favouring team Canada to take home the gold. And why not? They got Sidney Crosby, Joe Thornton, Rick Nash, Jarome Iginla, Martin Brodeur, Luongo, Neidermeyar, Pronger... etc etc. What a stacked team, they must win the gold.....NOT.Let's get real, team Canada will win silver in the 2010 Olympic men's hockey. Sweden or USA or Finland will probably get bronze. Russia....GOLD. Don't get me wrong, I'll be cheering for Canada during the 2010 Olympics but i'll be cheering for Russia just a bit more, and god I hope these two countries meet up in the finals which they probably will. I wanna see another battle of Crosby vs. Ovechkin. Russia will win gold simply because they will be the better team. Alexander Ovechkin who is single handedly better than any player on team Canada. Who's better then him!? Crosby? Crosby is the closest to Ovechkin's level. Along side with Ovechkin is Pavel Datsyuk who is actually a bit under-rated, he is really really talented. Ilya Kovalchuk is putting up amazing numbers this season. 16 goals in just 23 games!? jeez! Russia also has forward Evgeni Malkin..now c'mon, having malkin, kovalchuk, ovechkin, and datsyuk on the same team, that's just beast. Also with Alex Kovalev although he is having a slow season so far. Now Russia's only problem would be Defense, they don't have much back bone to their system. For goaltending, i dont know if anybody could get it done, that's a big problem..Nik Khabibulin possibly, or Semyon Varlamov? He's played great this season...Hate me or whatever, my guess....Russia wins gold, Canada wins silver...
